The Christian Science Reading Room
The Christian Science Reading Room is both a bookstore and a quiet place to study for people of any faith to support your spiritual journey. Here you can find Bible-based solutions to lifes challenges, enjoy a quiet place to commune with God and listen to tapes and CDs with healing messages. There is always a librarian on duty who can answer your questions about Christian Science, help you find healing answers to problems, show you how to read the Bible Lesson, and guide you through our extensive computer resources. Our computers are equipped with Concord, Found Volumes, and WiFi/DSL for your spiritual research. On the internet you can access Spirituality.com, ebiblelessons, mybiblelesson, and The Christian Science Monitor. Bring in your laptop and connect to the internet wirelessly. If you want help in learning how to use these resources, contact the librarian or call 925-837-4930.
The room is a quiet place where you can read, study, pray, and listen to CDs. We have an extensive library of books and articles on Christian Science and Mary Baker Eddy that you can browse.
The sales area is well stocked with Science and Health and other writings of Mary Baker Eddy; Bibles and reference books; children's books and magazines; a variety of music and testimonial CDs and tapes; Christian Science magazines and The Christian Science Monitor.
